Cbus Property has today announced the appointment of Hutchinson Builders as the contractor for their major residential mixed-use development, The Langston, in Epping.
Hutchinson Builders will commence ground works on the site of the former Westpac Credit Card Services building in Langston Place from January 2019.
The Langston features three towers of 19, 24 and 29 storeys, and will include a ground floor retail/mixed-use precinct comprising 1,681sqm of retail space, as well as open public space and shareways connecting Epping Train Station with the new town centre.
Adrian Pozzo, Chief Executive Officer at Cbus Property, said the selection of the contractor was integral to the success of the overall project.
“The Langston will significantly contribute to the revitalisation of the Epping Town Centre and as such, choosing the right contractor was critical for Cbus Property,” said Mr Pozzo.
“Hutchinson’s excellent track record, having delivered over 7,000 projects around Australia since 1912 with a combined value of over $32 billion, ultimately stood out.
“This is our first project with Hutchies and we are looking forward to working closely with them.”
Greg Quinn, Managing Director of Hutchinson Builders, said his company is already establishing a strong working relationship with Cbus Property.
“We’re excited to commence work on our first project with Cbus Property, especially considering the significance The Langston will have in redefining the Epping Town Centre,” said Mr Quinn.
“The Langston is a landmark project for Cbus Property, who have a well-earned reputation for quality residential projects up and down Australia’s east coast.”
